- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-2 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
- Salt to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes, stir well, and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
